Live in the Lowcountry

Palmetto Bluff

Bluffton

Amidst countless red oaks and miles of marshes, Palmetto Bluff provides residents with a lifestyle that is as spectacular as the natural setting that serves as its backdrop.

Spread over 22,000 acres along the May River in Bluffton, Palmetto Bluff blends world-class amenities and a vibrant town center with quiet residential streets and natural preservation. While the community feels like a world away, the amenities and beaches of Hilton Head are a short drive from Palmetto Bluff’s gates.

Golf and Amenities

When it comes to golf in the Lowcountry, the May River Golf Club, built in 2004 by Nicklaus, is unequalled. Voted the state’s “Best New Course” in 2005, it incorporates marshlands, old-growth trees and the beautiful May River. Nicklaus, ever the perfectionist, even imported sand from Ohio to better fill the sloped bunkers.

In addition to golf, Palmetto Bluff’s amenities include The Lodge, which features a fitness center and pool overlooking the inland waterway, a shooting club, a lawn and racquet club, and equestrian center, and Wilson Landing, which includes a restaurant and a riverside pool with views of the May River.

Residents enjoy endless outdoor activities, like kayaking through marshland and walking miles of manicured trails, as well as relaxing at Wilson Village, the community’s commercial center featuring restaurants, shops, a gourmet market, flanking the large Village Green.

Palmetto Bluff is also home to a luxury Inn and Spa operated by Montage Resorts. The resort topped Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards in 2013, and was named the 14th best hotel in the world by Travel + Leisure in 2015.

Real Estate

Palmetto Bluff boasts some of the most magnificent riverfront, marsh front, lakefront and golf view homes and lots for sale in the area. Village homesites are priced from the mid $100k’s, and marsh/riverfront homesites start in the $500k’s.  Cottages and homes start in the high $500k’s.
